Langtang Valley Trek
This trail is gifted with sublime mountain views and impressive scenic landscapes. With more than 1000 plants, birds of 150 species, and numerous other mammals, Langtang valley trekking is very popular. It indulges regular and novice trekkers alike in a once in a lifetime experience.
Langtang valley is a beautiful valley to the north of Kathmandu. Langtang is also a national park spread over an area of 1710 sq. km. it also happens to be the first Himalayan National Park. The area is lightly inhabited and the trail less trodden. So the trek is a solitary and peaceful experience amidst the beautiful nature and traditional settlements. The valley is believed to have been discovered when a person was looking for his lost yak. It was aptly named Langtang as in Tibetan language Lang means Yak and tang means to follow. With its picturesque landscapes, moderate climate, easy trails, and traditional lifestyles, Langtang valley is really one of the gems of the Himalayan country, Nepal.
Langtang Valley trek offers astounding views of mountains above (7000m) like Langtang Lirung (7200m), Ganesh Himal (7600m), and Langtang-II (7227m), etc. This trail also offers a splendid view of snow-capped Himalayan ranges like Tserko Ri (5033M), Kyanjin Ri, Ganchhenpo (6388M), Dorje Lakpa (6990Ma), and Laure Binayak pass (4609M). Beautiful rice terraces and a number of splendid monasteries are scattered all along the trail. Snow-capped mountains right in front of your eyes really make the trekking more gorgeous and outstanding.
Langtang Valley trekking includes splendid natural and cultural variances, Rhododendron, Bamboo, and pine forest. Swift mountains streams, rugged rock, and snow-capped peaks, grassy downs, and meadows to Daisies, Wild Premolar majestic waterfalls flowing over mammoth boulders, and soothing hot springs.

Day 09:  Drive back to Kathmandu and transfer to Hotel

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1400m/4590Ft)
Upon your arrival a representative from Swagat Holiday Treks & Expedition Pvt. Ltd. will be waiting outside the international Airport (Tribhuwan International Airport) gates to take you to the hotel. Depending on the time of arrival, plans will be made for a briefing meeting once you have settled in. Please let us know if there is anything special you would like to do while in Kathmandu. We can help you arrange that. Tonight we will stay overnight at the Hotel.

Day 02: Drive to Syabru Besi (1450m/4757ft)
We start our trek early in the morning after breakfast and start our drive up to Syabru Besi, which takes about 7-8 hours drive from Kathmandu. We drive along the scenic banks of Trishuli River with beautiful views of valleys, meadows, rivers, and mountains. After reaching the destination at 1460m, we will check-in to the hotel and we will stay overnight at Syabru Besi.

Day 03: Syabru Besi to Lama Hotel (2480m/8136ft)
The trek for the day starts right after breakfast. At first, the trail ascends for about 2 hours and then a climb for an hour takes us to a Bamboo village, where we will enjoy our Lunch. After that, we will walk through leveled trails witnessing a number of bird species in the area as well as beehives hanging on the cliffs. We will have to ascend a steep climb again to finally reach the Lama Hotel where we will stay overnight.

Day 04: Lama Hotel to Langtang Village (3540m/11614ft)
A pleasant walk through the Rhododendron and pine forests for 3 hours takes us to Ghoda Tabela.  After having lunch here, we can enjoy the dense forests and herbs in the area. Another 3-4 hours walk through a scenic trail finally takes us to the Langtang valley where we will spend the night.

Day 05: Langtang to Kyanjin Gompa (3900m/12795ft)
Today is more like a leisure day as we will take a leisurely walk for 2-3 hours to visit the Kyanjin Gompa at an altitude of 3817m. the final destination of the trek, the Gompa is a serene and beautiful place that allows us to have the scenic views of Mt. Ganchhenpo and Mt. Langtang Lirung. The cheese factory, the monasteries, and the traditional local houses are the main attraction of this short trip.

Day 06: Day hike up to Tserko Ri (4985m/16354ft) and back to Kyanjin Gompa
This day is dedicated to indulging in the natural beauty and serenity of the Gompa area. We can enjoy the splendid mountain views as well as relish in a peaceful environment. We can also take a climb up to the Tserko Ri(5150m) and also reach the Langtang glacier and the beautiful yak pasture called Lang shisha Kharka, this quite tough day. We will follow the same trail back to Kyanjin Gompa and spend the night in the same hotel.

Day 07: Trek from Kyanjin Gompa to Back Rimche
On this day we will have a pleasant trek trekking our steps back to Rimche from Kyanjin Gompa through the scenic trail. It will be our second last day of the Langtang trek. It is will be easier to walk down rather than going up. You will enjoy the way back and we will say overnight at Rimche Lodge.

Day 08: Trek from Rimche to Syabru Besi (1450m/4757ft)
On this day, we again trek back our steps through the Bamboo and Rhododendron forests to finally reach Syabru Besi. This day will be not so long a walk, it will take only 4-5 hours. We will stay at Syabru Besi and will enjoy our last night for trekking. We will enjoy our last dinner together with a guide and porter. Next day we will take a bus to Kathmandu.

Day 09:  Drive back to Kathmandu and transfer to Hotel
Today early in the morning after breakfast, we start our journey back to Kathmandu by bus. We may enjoy the evening by traveling around tourism sports in the capital city or shopping for souvenirs in Thamel.

Day 10: fly back to Home country
The final day marks the end of your journey with us. A farewell is certainly not at all a good feeling, but with a weighty heart and with the hope to see you again, one of our representatives from Swagat Holiday Treks and Expedition Pvt. Ltd.; Team will drop you off at the International Airport three hours prior to your departure time.

Cost Include
  • Airport / Hotel / Airport pick up & drop off service by a private tourist vehicle. (for both international and domestic flights).
  • Welcome Dinner at Typical Nepalese Restaurant with a cultural dance show.
  • 2 Night standard twin-sharing accommodation in a hotel in Kathmandu including breakfast.
  • Basic guesthouse accommodation during the trek in mostly twin-share and occasionally dormitory-style rooms.
  • Three meals a day: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner during the trekking.
  • A Highly experienced, Helpful, Knowledgeable, friendly, well-trained Government license holding English-speaking trekking guide.
  • We provide an assistant guide for walking with the group to support where necessary as per group size.
  • National Park entrance fee and Trekkers Information Management System (TIMS card).
  • The required number of local staff and porters to carry your luggage during the trek (We assign one porter for every two guests.)
  • Food, accommodation, insurance, equipment, and medicine for all staff.
  • Everest National Park permits and Khumbu permit for trekking.
  • Airfare from Kathmandu – Lukla - Kathmandu including airport departure tax in Kathmandu and Lukla airports.
  • Arrangement of emergency evacuation service (should have insurance for emergency evacuation and will be paid by your Travel Insurance Company).
  • All applicable government taxes, vat, tourist service charges as per Itinerary.

  • Your Nepal Visa Fees (should bring small accurate fees in USD and 02 passport size photos)
  • All the International airfare to and from Kathmandu ( no need to pay departure tax for international flight)
  • Lunch and Dinner during staying in Kathmandu
  • Personal travel and Health insurance as well as insurance for helicopter evacuation
  • In case of extra night’s accommodation, Lunch and Dinner in the city due to early arrival or departure as well as early back/return from Mountain/Trekking(due to any reason) than the given time period of Itinerary. We can help you arrange extra nights’ accommodation.
  • Your personal expenses such as (soft beverages, confectionaries, laundries, phone calls, bar bills, Extra porter, etc.)
  • Extra baggage excess while flying to Lukla.
  • Medical expenses and trip cancellation.

Your safety is our paramount concern while traveling with Swagat Holiday Treks & Expedition. In case of emergency during the trip, Helicopter will be arranged by Swagat Holiday Treks & Expedition Pvt. Ltd. for rescue. The charge must be paid by the client or their travel insurance company.
 Please note that your leader/guide has the authority to amend or cancel any part of the itinerary if it is deemed necessary due to safety concerns. Every effort will be made to keep to the above itinerary; however, since this adventure entails traveling in remote mountain regions, we cannot guarantee that we will not deviate from it. Weather conditions, health conditions of a group member, unexpected natural disasters, etc. can all contribute to changes in the itinerary. The leader/guide will try to ensure that the trip runs according to plan, but please be prepared to be flexible if required.
