Seti River Rafting
Seti River Rafting is a short trip passing the crystal clear water of Seti River with beautiful views of Annapurna and Manaslu. In terms of size, Seti River is relatively small, which is preferable for inexperienced rafters. It is said that Seti River is considered as the finest river to learn ‘Kayak’, due to her supreme character designed for it. Usually, the water of rivers in Nepal is labeled as cold but here, the water of Seti River is unbelievably warm and rafters think that this river is suitable and meant for the winter season. It is an interesting river with unique characteristics of warmth. You can enjoy the warm water rafting in winter too.
Seti River goes up on southeast slopes of Machhapuchhare from there it runs south. Seti River is well known for its calm and moderate characteristics and alluring scenery. Mostly Seti River may have a great impression on those tourists who love nature and especially to daydreamers. It is said that in monsoon season, its engorged rapids verify an exhilarating test for those Kayakers and skilled rafters. It is necessary to know that the best season for the Rafting in Seti River in October. We have a facility for providing high-quality self-bailing rafts, helmets, plastic paddles, lifejackets, and first aid kids. We do not hesitate to provide their customers with abundant and healthy hygienic foods.
By the side of the river, there is a trace of the lavish enormous forest, which was enclosed with the hills. At present this area is settled by the Magar people, who are well known as the Gorkha Soldier from generation to generation. If you are planning to stay overnight there then Saran Ghat will be your destination where you are facilitated with sleeping mats and tents but sleeping bags are provided as per your request. When you are done Rafting in Seti River, you can extend your adventure to the Royal Chitwan National Park or Pokhara; otherwise, we will head back to Kathmandu for the farewell dinner.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu International Airport
Upon your arrival at the Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu, a representative from Swagat Holiday Treks & Expedition will receive and transfer you to your hotel. After you are greeted with welcome drinks at the hotel, we will have to quick meeting to discuss the necessary formalities regarding your trip. You can then check in to your room, freshen up and rest. Or if you are not one of those “lay back” types, you can take a stroll around the vicinity of your hotel and get the feel of this hyperactive capital city of Nepal. On the streets, people seem to be on sheer rush, barely noticing one another, but if you utter “Namaste”, they will definitely reciprocate with a smile; well that’s Nepal’s culture. We will stay overnight at the hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 02: Kathmandu city sightseeing (1400m)
A short stroll in the evening yesterday might not have acquainted you with Kathmandu. So we want to make sure that you know this city as you know yourself. Once done with your breakfast, let’s hop in to our reserved vehicle and then on for a comfy ride with one of our experienced city guides. You will be visiting the most renowned historical/cultural landmarks in Kathmandu. Our guide will take you to the Pashupatinath Temple (the most revered Hindu shrine), Swayambhunath (the Monkey Temple) and Kathmandu (Basantapur) Durbar Square. All these sites are enlisted in the UNESCO world’s heritage list. After this informative and interesting tour, we drive back through the busy and noisy streets of Kathmandu to the serene premises of your hotel. We will stay overnight at the hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Damauli, Raft to the Saran Ghat village
Damauli is about 149 Km far from Kathmandu. You will be taking a thereby tourist bus and it takes approximately 5 hours to reach there. Early in the morning at 6:30 am bus will come to pick you up. During the driving, the landscape is beautiful mountain views such as the Ganesh Himal and Manaslu, Trisuli River Valley, running cable cars, Marsyangdi River valley, terraced fields, village, green hills, domestic animals and highway towns. Kathmandu to Mugling is 110 KM and Mugling to Damauli is about 39 km far. We will meet the raft team and listen to the safety rules from the guide. After a short briefing and training, we will start our rafting journey. We spend the whole day within its forested canyon. The luxuriant vegetation we see is a remnant of the vast forested area, which once covered the middle hills of Nepal.
Even now we are objects of curiosity to the villagers. Traveling by rafts is a perfect way to view undisturbed wildlife. When we stop for lunch we have time to explore, Photograph, bird watching, swim, or relax. Later in the afternoon, we encounter a small but technical rapid near the village of Saranghat. Inhabited by Magars, who are renowned for generations of service with the Gorkha forces Saranghat, is a colorful middle hills village. Tonight we will set up camp on a spacious beach below the village.

Day 04: Raft from Saran Ghat to Narayan Ghat
Wake up around 6:30 am and pack your things before breakfast. Then around 7:30 am we will set off down the Seti... Later we encounter the technical rapid grade III and II shortly after the rapid we leave Seti River and enter Trisuli River. Here the middle hills recede and the Terai plain before us. The topography has changed dramatically. The twisted severe rock formations give away to sandstone and deposited by antecedent rivers.
After lunch, we have the opportunity to visit a unique religious community, Dev Ghat. Each year thousands of pilgrims visit the ashram to worship.
At this point, Kali Gandaki joins the Trisuli River. The river now becomes the Narayani River. We float further down to a small town Narayan Ghat; where we end our Rafting trip. From here Chitwan is only a short distance away from where rafters can enjoy wildlife safari in Asia’s most well – preserved National Park or drive back to Kathmandu. You will be transferred to your designated hotel. You will stay overnight at the hotel Kathmandu.

Day 05: Final departure to your homeland or onward destination
Unless you intend to extend your trip, this will be your last day in Nepal. A representative from Swagat Holiday Treks & Expedition will escort you to the Tribhuwan International Airport, three hours prior to your flight schedule.
As you wave us goodbye and enter the terminal block, you would perhaps recall your arrival at this place. No wonder, everything seems so familiar now, because you had come here as a tourist, but you are going back as a friend. Have a safe flight back home and we look forward to being your travel companion in Nepal again.

The accompaniment of a skilled rafting guide shall ensure your safety. If you are not a confident swimmer or not so accustomed to water sport, we can provide you with life jackets.
